New Forest Parking Charges and Payment

Planning a visit to the New Forest? This guide explains parking charges and payment options at the 129 Forestry England car parks covered by our directory. Other operators’ car parks may have different arrangements.

How much does parking cost?

Parking duration Charge
One hour £1.50
Two hours £3
Four hours £5
Over four hours £8

Charges also apply to motorcycles and Blue Badge holders. Always check the signs when you arrive.

Paying with RingGo

You can pay through the RingGo app, website or telephone service. Find your car park’s location code in our A–Z directory and check it against the on-site signs.

Forestry England covers RingGo’s booking fee. Optional services, such as text alerts, may cost extra.

Card payment machines

On-site card payment machines are available at 16 car parks. Our individual listings show whether a machine is available. A RingGo code does not mean there is a machine on site.

Machine payments must be made during your visit, rather than afterwards.

What if there is no mobile signal?

For payments through the RingGo app or website, Forestry England allows payment until midnight the day after your visit.

For RingGo telephone payments, the deadline is midnight on the day you park.

Visiting more than one car park

Parking sessions are transferable between Forestry England’s New Forest car parks, provided your payment covers the full duration of your parking.

Membership and accessible payment options

Forestry England offers national membership with parking included, plus an assisted payment option for visitors with access needs. See its official guidance for eligibility, arrangements and current membership prices.
